Dr. Natascha Ekawati Putri

Dr Natascha Putri is a consultant general surgeon at Cancer Surgery International, with sub-specialty interest in surgical oncology, and surgery for head and neck cancer, thyroid and salivary gland diseases. She is also a visiting consultant at the National Cancer Centre Singapore and National University Centre for Oral Health.

Dr Natascha has a long-established history of academic and clinical excellence. She graduated from National University of Singapore School of Medicine achieving the top prize in Surgery and was also awarded the Dean’s List. She was part of the pioneer batch to join the largest ACGME-I accredited General Surgery Residency Program outside of the United States, and received the Ministry of Health Best House Officer Award, as well as the SingHealth Best Resident Award for consecutive years.  

Subsequently she continued to hone her sub-specialty interests by pursuing concurrent fellowships with the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies (IFHNOS) and SingHealth-Duke NUS Head and Neck Centre. This was followed by clinical fellowship and training at the prestigious Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York City, USA.

She returned to an extremely busy and fulfilling practice at Singapore General Hospital and National Cancer Centre Singapore. And for her work in the dormitories during the COVID-19 pandemic, she was awarded the Singapore Health Quality Service (Hero) Award.

She is a strong proponent of inter-professional collaborative learning and is actively involved in teaching postgraduate medical students at Duke-NUS Medical School, in addition to oral maxillofacial surgery residents as Assistant Professor at the NUS Faculty of Dentistry. 

Dr Putri believes that a multi-disciplinary team approach is essential to achieving the best outcome possible in the treatment of complex cancers, and is committed to delivering ethical, compassionate, quality care for all her patients.
